Meet our priest, Fr. Cambas!

Fr. Constantine Cambas, was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in southern New Jersey. He graduated from State University of New York at Stony Brook and earned and Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy. He has worked in the health care field in both civilian and military medical facilities. While serving as a medical service corps officer in the US Navy, he began to feel a call to serve Christ and His church. In 1999 he began studying part time at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA. He graduated in 2004 with an Master of Divinity degree and was ordained a deacon and a priest by Metropolitan Methodios in August, 2004. He has served several parishes in the Metropolis of Boston, including Cranston, RI, Pittsfield, MA, Marlborough, MA, Cohasset, MA, Keene, NH, Lowell, MA and Fitchburg, MA. He returned to the Nativity Assumption of the Virgin Mary Parish in Cohasset, MA in October 2024 where he currently serves. He is married to Presvytera Marilou. Fr. Constantine and Presvytera have two daughters, Marianne Kent and Barbara Ciejek and two wonderful son-in-laws, Richard and Joseph and two granddaughters, Raelynn and Margeaux. He enjoys following professional sports, listening to byzantine music, reading Orthodox literature and has an interest in pastoral care. He still participates in rehabilitation health care part time in the home care setting in addition to his parish ministries.
